So I’m here in Denver for Ruby Conf!

Some brilliant person has seeded the conference room with power cables. I wish we’d had that kind of forethought in Vancouver. Apparently, we can hook up 105 70-watt power warts before we kill the circuit. I can’t wait.

So the power situation doesn’t seem to be a problem so far, but the wireless access is…unreliable is too weak a word. Missing? I have a feeling a hundred or so lucky souls are maintaining their connections, but I’m not a member of the Select.

Kind of a slow start here, but I’m beginning to realise that when we get up to speed I’ll be about 20,000 fathoms below the surface. These guys are programmers. At the Canada on Rails, there where plenty of less intense seeming web geeks, possibly even a few other dabblers. I think I saw a marketing rep.
